The Faraglioni are three blocks of rock which have survived coastal landslides, erosion by the sea and all manner of atmospheric corrosion. The rocks have each been given a name: the first, still attached to the land, is called Stella, the second, separated from the first block by a stretch of sea; Faraglione diMezzo and the third, Faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo, where was founded the blue-tinted lizard .

Bluride excursion The Maritime Republic of Amalfi was an important maritime commercial center, trading with the whole of the Italian peninsula, North Africa, the Middle East and the Byzantine Empire. The Republic bought spices, precious stones, carpets and fabrics from the Arabs, and sold them throughout Italy.
Soon, Amalfi’s wealth not only attracted the attention of pirates, who were promptly driven back by the city’s army, it also became the target of neighboring states. In 1131, after a long succession of attacks, Amalfi was annexed to the Kingdom of Sicily. Checked by the policies of the Normans and Pisans, who landed on the coast in 1135, to plunder and destroy whatever they found there.. A brief scientific and cultural revival occurred around the 1200s, the century in which Giovanni Gioia of Amalfi invented the compass. The economy began to converge on the cultivation of olives, vines, and citrus fruits and on the crafts industry.
Around the second half of the 19th century the Amalfi coast began its revival thanks to tourism, and artists such as Ibsen and Wagner drew inspiration from the region for some of their famous works, further fanning the curiosity of travelers to the coast. capri@bluride.it

Bluride excursion Malaparte House is situated on the island of Capri on a difficult and narrow rocky promontory, which seems to rise from the sea. Designed by Adalberto Libera is considered one of the masterpieces of modern architecture, which is a wonderful example of Rationalist integration between modernity and the natural environment. The love of Curzio Malaparte in Capri island began in 1936 when he visited his friend Axel Munthe, was thrilled. After the purchase of land on Punta Massullo, friendship with Galeazzo Ciano, Foreign Minister and avid frequenter of Capri with his wife, Edda, enabled him to obtain permits to build the villa. The villa, described by the writer “Home like me”, consists of a large living room on whose walls are four large Windows, built to offer different views on each. There are also study, bedroom, a small apartment for guests, called the “Hospice” and the “favorita”, the bedroom of the companion of the moment. While recalls for its simple structure housing premises, possesses clearly notes the Rationalist as the roof terrace with a screen, certain signs of undulating School of Le Corbusier. Its form of parallelepiped broke from gradonata, which enlarges on the sunny terrace of the coverage, has a simple harmony, which becomes part of the natural rock structures and creates an exceptional built environment. According to recent acquisitions of documents and letters (see Corriere della Sera on July 10, 2009, p. 41, article by Steve Bucci) project of the villa is entirely due to the same Malaparte; Free submitted before the break with a different project and Malaparte ever made. This emerges from the letters of the architect forests Umberto Bonetti, who was the completion of the project and who writes that “the creation of the building material” was carried out on its own designs but “behind Your (Malaparte) address aesthetic and constructive: plants, sections etc.” This would explain the modesty of parcel presented by Bonetti, referring to the pure technical work-Executive capri@bluride.it

The Bluride excursion Marina di Crapolla is definitely one of the most scenic spots of this stretch of coast, but also one of the less visible and less accessible. A deep rift in the rock, from 30 to 40 metres, insinuates among the high cliff for a length of about 160 metres, finishing with a beautiful Pebble Beach located at the back of what remains of an ancient fishing village, whose origins date back to Roman times that they called it Capreole, likely contraction of Acra Apollonos (Apollo) for the presence of a small temple dedicated to the God. In the western part of the Creek are still visible remains of a Roman villa, with parts in opus reticulatum walls, arches, vaults and a cavity that probably needed to escape the waters of the Brook of Viarito or rivo alto Crapolla coming from the mountain. Abandoned by the Romans, the city gained importance again in the 11th century with the construction, a little higher, an imposing and opulent Abbey which remained active for several centuries and that in the first half of the sixteenth century was home to the poet anglicised Teofilo Folengo.capri@bluride.it

A fantastic passage in the Bluride excursion is near the Li Galli island Li Galli are three small islands called Gallo Lungo, Rotonda and Castelletto. According to the legend told by the Greek Home, in this blue sea the sirens tempted Ulysses on his way back home. It is the Greek figurative art which identifies the sirens in the rocks. And in 1225 Federico II gave them to the parish of Positano calling them tre sirenas que dicitur gallus three sirens called gallus, that is why today Li Galli. Il Gallo Lungo is the biggest island and it was the only one who had been inhabited since Roman times. In the following centuries the ruins were used by the Saracens to start their incursions on the main land.
In 1924 the American choreographer Leonide Massine had a majestic villa built on those ruins, which later on the architect Le Corbusier made even more charming. Among the last owners of the island there was also the Russian ballet dancer Rudolf

A stop of Bluride excursion is the town of Ravello , at 20 minute of car from the port of Amalfi .
Ravello was strictly connected with the glorious and tormented history of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi, whose lot she followed. Its economic and political decline began in the Norman period and became dramatic in the course of the seventeenth century: having lost its prosperous economy, an incomparable position from the naturalistic point of view and architectural and artistic marvels built during the centuries of splendour. Is very interesting a visit of Villa Ruffolo (1270), built by Nicola Ruffolo, one of the richest Patricians of Ravello, on a ledge and it has become a famous attraction for thousands of visitors. The villa was mentioned by Givanni Boccacio in his Decameron and it is the place where Richard Wagner in 1880 was inspired for the stage design of his opera Parsifal.
Villa Cimbrone, famous for its “Terrace of the Infinite”.The church of Saint John of the Bull dating to before the year 1000. The church contains the Bove pulpit, dateable to 1200-1230, incorporated as mosaic fragments Raqqa bacini. The Duomo (Cathedral) of Ravello: the central nave contains the “Pulpit of the Gospels”, on the right of the central nave, created in 1272 by Nicolò di Bartolomeo from Foggia .
